Objects of Light
Who knows where these small presences come from, who made them? ... belonged to who, how, when and why they were thrown away, lost or forgotten or put into disuse ... these are the questions I asked myself with each of the objects that I find, collect, keep, waiting for the right moment to re-value and give them an aesthetic sense, to build a new life… I built imaginary answers trying to give them a new symbolic name.
I am full of boxes, jars, various containers, labeling and classification of ALL the things that interest me collected over the years of research and intense recycling work, and gradually I began to give them shape and the sense of their sizing.
A work between play, research and surprise, a joy in the soul, a game that I have continued to play so far, because the sea, the earth, the road, the garbage container ... always has a gift for me, because surprises are part of my life and above all because I love the challenge of building and creating with what means nothing for many ... and for me it means everything: BITS OF MY LIFE.
Now I show you some of the works ... Objects of light that I built entirely by using the experience and learning from professionals on the subject.
Recreating with recycling and incorporating light was a captivating proposition.
I hope that those who look at my objects can dream, play with me and discover a new world of reflections. And rebuild a piece of the soul with bits of other lives.
-Dedicated to children, incessant curious, “meteretes”, naturally innate researchers and unscrupulous builders of immense worlds starting from nothing, as I did… and to all of us who have a child in our hearts.
